I don't think this is helping keep our freedoms.

If the guy in the red shirt was facing me in that position I would consider him a threat.

We lose a little bit more of our freedom every day. It is time for conservatives to act up. I say more power to them.

So what was the stated purpose of the Open Carry Texas gathering? Did they achieve their goal(s)?

When I saw headlines on the side like 76% Of Americans Support A Minimum Wage Increase and Transgender Employment Protections that told me I should take their news with a deer-lick-sized grain of salt.

Regardless of TPM's biases, if that photograph was a true representation of the events near a Moms Demand Action yada yada public meeting, then Open Carry Texas just made it a lot harder to envision open-carry happening in Texas. The saying "perception is reality" should make those members of OCT re-think if they're part of the problem, or part of the solution.

It's time for conservatives to continue willing legislative battles and court cases that restore lost freedoms. These are the tactics that work. Giving photo-ops for anti-gunners to use to win others to their side of the issue is not only ineffective, it's counterproductive. If these tactics continue, they will go a long way toward making sure no open-carry bill has a chance or even meaningful support in 2015.

He easily could have been arrested and convicted of violating Tex. Penal Code §42.01(a)(8).

I'm starting to wonder if OCT is really run by the libs. Their tactics seem to be, "How can we do the most damage to gun owners?"

it was noted on another website, that they were posing for a photo not threatening anyone.

If that's accurate, then I retract my statement about TPC §46.01(a)(6).

Chas,

TPC §46.01 is for definitions. What is TPC §46.01(a)(6)?
