In 2006, Yee was named to the Gun Violence Prevention Honor Roll by the Brady Campaign for his efforts that included co-authoring a first-in-the-nation bill to require new semiautomatic handguns be equipped with ballistics identification technology known as micro-stamping.

In 2013, he stood with law enforcement officials and then-Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to propose a bill that would regulate assault weapons.

Just consider it a resume enhancement in the California Democratic Party. He is now well qualified for a statewide office, perhaps atty general.

I'm guessing his anti-gun stance was to support his own business interests.

Wonder if the current AG had any involvement in the plan?

Why would Yee get involved with selling rocket launchers to street gangs for a measly $70K (less than the cost of his car, I suspect) unless it was part of a bigger plan?

Let me go get some more tin foil... BRB.

He found a way to make money off the absurdity of taking guns away from citizens so only bad guys and the elite can have them.

So a couple of minions block a major bridge in a city and all heck breaks loose on the news for weeks on end. But this guy gets caught red handed doing far far worse and I have not seen one story here in the mainstream news. There is no such thing as bias.

Nope. It doesn't fit their narrative, so it gets ignored.

Just more proof (as if we needed it  ) that gun control is not about guns.
