That's what Crossfire said. She said that I was much more handsome. Well, not exactly. She said that I didn't look like my avatar picture, but I know that's what she was thinking.USA1 wrote:neither do you . ..............WildBill wrote: BTW, you look nothing like your avatar.

Re: Great Time at TexasCHLforum Day at PSC !
It was good to see some of my "old friends" from the TexasCHLForum and PSC - Charles Cotton, ElGato [my CHL Instructor], KeithB [Moderator and Hot Air Balloonist], Marc Gentine, Tom Neal, Glockenhammer, SeamusTx [TexasCHLForum Historian] and his lovely wife. I was honored to meet Fosforos and KFP, who I sponsored for NRA Life Membership. In addition to USA!, I also met FM2, Seadog, Jim Longley, Mr. and Mrs. Fosforos, Mrs. and Mr. Crossfire, and G.C. Montgomery. During lunch, between eating fajitas and guacamole, I had a great time trading stories with KFP, surprised_I'm_armed and Liberty. What a great day!

Who could have guessed it could be better than the last time -- but it was! It was a day FULL of great instruction, practice drills, FOOD (which was AWESOME BTW), and then it started all over again after lunch!
Thank you to ALL who made this day possible.

Glad you all had a great time. Next year maybe, the good Lord willing, we shall be able to attend. We are way too shy at the moment...we are staying 'concealed' a little longer.
We just feel we need to be a little more shooting proficient and a little less like noobies before we 'come out' so to speak.
I would have liked to have met up with ElGato again too (he was our CHL instructor too).

It was great and alot of good info. My fiance loved it and sparked her interest ten fold in guns and shooting. Which is AWESOME for me!!!!!! Thank you Mr. Cotton and everyone else for donating time and patience for all of us. After my fiance found the star, she never wanted to do anything else. She was always there!!!! Great food and can't wait for next year. And we will be joining PSC. Again thank you and it was nice to meet some of ya'll.

Re: Great Time at TexasCHLforum Day at PSC !
I did become addicted to the Texas Star and now have to find one of my own! I am so glad I came out with y2bad today. I felt a little insecure about my gun and abilities but am so much more confident now. I can't wait to join PSC and start shooting on a regular basis. I will also be getting involved in IDPA, for sure!
To Kevinf: Don't worry about feeling like a newbie. That's exactly how I felt starting out this morning, convinced I would be judged or laughed at for not being as proficient as some. I am 100% glad I did not let that keep me away, I met some great people and learned SO MUCH about my pistol. I learned more than I ever expected.
Thank you to all the instructors for taking the time to work with us out there. It was really great and I can't wait for next year.

I had a good time, meeting the few faces I did meet, and will be planning to remember to bring guns and ammo next time.
