Grips for a Bersa thunder 40S&W

#1

Post by davefrmmrfy »

I'm thinking that I may need to look into replacement grips for my Bersa 40S&W. the trigger reach is a little long. I've not been successful in locating any online. Does anyone have a recommendation? (Other than selling it and getting a Kimber...) ;-)

There's a couple of guys on the Bersatalk.com forum that make custom grips for Bersas.
Sorry I can't give you any more info.

I have a Bersa Thunder 9 full size and a Thunder 9 sub-compact. I can't find ANYTHING for them, holsters included. Whenever you do a search for any type of Bersa, the .380 is all that comes up.

Frankly, I thought I was the only one in the world who owns a Bersa Thunder. The only place to get magazines is from Eagle Importers, and they are supposed to be factory made, but out of 5 magazines that I've bought, only 1 of them works.

I posted a response to your question on the bersa board, but in case you read this first -- what about trying one of those Hogue sleeves that fit over regular grips? It would give you extra diameter around the grip and maybe change the postion of your index finger on the grip.

I've been looking for the same kind of solution for my tomcat. Mr Fos said for me to try duck tape ... hmph! (he really was just kidding!)

What I'm actually trying to do is to make the grip smaller, not larger, so, the sleeve (or duct tape  ) won't fit the bill.

I bought a mag. from http://www.yourgunparts.com. It too was bad, but the guy was real helpful. He could not exchange it but gave me the contact at Eagle and I was able to swap it with no problem.

What, duct tape wo'nt work? Just wrap the grip with duct tape, and there ya go. ;-)
