No kidding... But Oct 19th is, which is when the original count was started.

Anyway, I called this morning at 759am. Actually spoke to a rep after a 16 minute wait. She then placed me on a 6 minute hold while she did here magic. She informed me that my app is currently in the back ground check step and that everything was moving along. Would not give me an ETA but said "everything is in motion".

Relieved to know they are working on it and my app isn't sitting under a coffee mug on some desk somewhere. I expect that my plastic will be in hand by end of month.

I think that for official DPS purposes, the count doesn't officially start until they acknowledge receipt of all you material (e.g. Your confirmation email).

Looks like you are well on your way now so good luck. Hopefully just a bit longer.

Is there another way to contact these people to get some info?
I called at 0825 and got thru with minimal wait time last week.

What's the date of receipt of confirmation of your CHL-100? You say you sent it on 12/23 but that's not when THEY SAY THEY ACTUALLY received it. That would be the day the clock starts ticking.

I called on the first and was told my application was on hold for a tech to review since December 18th. called again on Friday and was put on hold for a minute, then told my application had been approved and was being sent to me. the website has yet to update for me. I would call and make sure everything is in order, you are paying for a service, and should be able to call to make sure its moving along.

68 days?? Was there a "red flag" somewhere? Or did yours just slip thru the cracks?
Congrats Josehm89!
well I was told by our LTC instructor that since I am in san Antonio I should mail my application in because it would arrive quick....what he failed to mention was that it would be a month or so after I sent it in to be scanned and processed. my application was sent to review, not sure why, but it was finally reviewed and approved last week. the website finally changed for me today though!

Wondering why yours would be sent for "tech review"?? Did you have any idea that your app may be slowed down due to previous arrest or medical board? I've been searching for someone else's being sent for
"tech review" & haven't been able to find another applicate that noted theirs were being sent to "tech review" also. :waiting:

I work inside a military base so every time I renew my pass they run a NCIC check and an arrest shows up, but its labeled as a class P from when I was in Illinois. I called the city and was informed it was a ticket I received for a turn signal violation, considered a petty offense, she said it shouldn't have been entered that way, but was in the system showing i was arrested. I know that technically a citation is an arrest, but was told that since it was from Illinois they did not have much to go on other than it showing class P.

Ahh. Gotcha. Well,, I had a not so eventful conversation w/ RSD this morning. I spoke to the same (not so friendly lady) & she asked me if a supervisor called me this past Monday or Tuesday & told her no, ( I was told last week that a supervisor would be calling me if I wanted to update status) she (not so nice lady) said she would be sending an email again to supervisor this morning & they would be calling be sometime this morning & somebody did about 2 hours later, but I couldn't answer cause I was in a meeting. After my meeting I called back & I happened to get a "supervisor" & she just told me the exact same thing that everybody else is been posting, " it is in process & I can only tell you that I've only been in que (excepted fingerprint's) Dec 22 & that I have another 24 WORKING DAYS until I hit 60 day mark. They go by business working days not every actual day, & I asked how come people who did everything after me are already receiving their plastic & quote "depends when your final doc's are qued (accepted) in by email" they get around 2000 every week so just because a husband & wife send in theirs at the same exact time doesn't mean that theirs will be received in the system at the exact time (moment) one may follow in order 6 days later because of the amount of app' that come in" quote. Basically they said in short version is " I can't tell you anything except that it is in process. So, I'm sure with my non disqualifying arrest in 1993 that is & will be the hold up for me.
I certainly hope this helps anybody who may be in my timeline & had a boo boo in their past.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Would you rather the lady lie to you & tell you you'll get your license in 2 days? (when they know you won't)

Really??? Of course not. I was just wanting a little more detailed timeline is all, 1 more month, 2 more, just something, but instead all I got was "you are in process"
That's ok, I'm a patient person so when it comes it comes.
