The Supreme Court on Monday struck down a Texas law regulating abortion clinics, delivering a 5-3 decision

Justice Stephen Breyer wrote the majority opinion for the court, with Justices Anthony Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan joining him. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas dissented.

"We agree with the District Court that the surgical center requirement, like the admitting-privileges requirement, provides few, if any, health benefits for women, poses a substantial obstacle to women seeking abortions, and constitutes an 'undue burden' on their constitutional right to do so," Breyer wrote.

Alito also referenced the Kermit Gosnell case, in which an abortion doctor in Pennsylvania was convicted of the murder of three infants who were born alive and the death of a patient. Alito said the Texas law was designed to prevent similarly shoddy medical practices from remaining open.

The way things are going this is going to be the future. Hillary is winning in all the polls out there, and that will mean more liberal judges for the Supreme Court with Scalia and Thomas gone. This is only the first of many votes that I fear we will hate in the future. Where is all religious leaders that used to speak up about abortions they seem to have been silenced. Where will be the outrage when they take guns, or the outrage when they control the media and free speech. I fear we are watching the end of the United States as we know it and what all the veterans including myself fought for. You can almost hear the veterans that gave all crying from the grave.

Cheer yourself up by considering this: what the court holds to be an undue burden on abortion may offer analogies to what is an undue burden on the RTKBA. Be careful what you wish for regarding permissible restrictions on constitutional rights. Whether abortion should be considered a constitutional right is beside the point. The Supremes say it is, and restrictions on it may someday haunt gun owners.

I'm going to make a simple statement that will likely get me jumped on, but if you want proper medical care (of whatever sort), an abortion "clinic" ain't the place to get it.

In fact, I want to add something to what I said, to make it hopefully make more sense. If you want a gun that works right, maybe a pawn shop ain't the best place to buy one. Caveat emptor, as the Romans said.

It's disgusting how the left has been allowed to shift the argument from what it really is, termination of a human life in the womb, to the ridiculously laughable "women's health". But hey, I'm a man and therefore have no say. Kennedy should be ashamed.

Part of me says, "if ya wanna do surgery type stuff, you need to follow all the rules other people who do surgery type stuff have to follow." Then the other part of me equates it to the lunacy of the type that would require the cartridges used by a firing squad not contain lead...

I am just sick of folks graying the area regarding what is a 'right' and what is not a 'right'...
