Own it, love it. Great pocket pistol or BUG. I've put several hundred rounds (FMJ and JHP) through it with no issues whatsoever. My younger brother also has one and loves his.

It is compact. The one in the picture you posted has the flush mount magazines. I have the ones with the extra round and pinky extension. Fits really comfortable in your hand.

This picture illustrates the size difference, but does not tell you the biggest difference between a 938 and other "compacts".............The Trigger!!
The 938 has a 1911 style trigger that is crisp and relatively light right out of the box. Compared to the 938 trigger, those other triggers feel like dragging an epileptic porcupine across a Velcro pad.

I used one for EDC and had zero problems. The only thing I did not like was the cost (and I get them wholesale). I ended up selling it for no reason other than I regularly switch EDC guns.
No problems here with my 938. I first bought the 239 (.380 version) and like it so much I bought the 938. I have put several hundred round thru it with no troubles at all. Carry in my front pocket in a holster of course. I was a little worried carrying condition 1 in my pocket. SO I unloaded it, cocked in put the safety on and carried it for a month. Never had a problem with safety or anything so its now loaded with good self defense ammo and carried cocked and locked. I switch out between the 6 round mag and 7 round mag depending on the type pants I'm wearing. Some pockets do not allow my to draw the extended mag well.

Would you believe Sig rates the 938 trigger as 7.5-8.5 pounds? I checked mine once with a digital gauge and, sure enough, that's right where it fell. It sure doesn't feel that stiff.
I got a kick out of your analogy too!

I've had mine for a couple of years now. For carrying either as primary or a BUG, I love it. As others have said, the recoil can be a bit snappy. My kids won't shoot it, nor would my ex-wife. She prefers her 9mm XDs. The longer mag, as others have mentioned, make it much easier to hold.
I have had a couple of issues. I've found the safety had been flipped to off a couple of times when I'd take it out of the holster. I'm not sure what I did to cause that to happen so I check every time I put the gun on. Also, when I've tried to shoot cheap, reloaded ammunition, the bullet tends to stick in the magazine. I assume the used brass may be slightly expanded causing this problem on its second life. Other than that, it has eaten every ammo I've put through it.
I mentioned the XDs. My ex-wife loves hers -- but doesn't carry it. Personally, I think the XDs is more pleasant to shoot, but I'll keep my P938. It's easy to carry in a number of different ways, I'm comfortable with it, and with decent ammo, it's never failed me.
