Good EDC belt??

I'm in search of a good edc belt that is not leather. There is so many and I was seeing if anyone has found one they really like and recommend? I will be carrying a 1911 most of the time.

Not leather for me is The Wilderness Original Instructor Belt with polymer lined for a little more stiffness. This is the only non-leather belt for EDC I have tried and with great results. It last forever.

I'm now using the Midway USA Instructor Belt.

It's every bit as good as the Wilderness Tactical or 511 belts I had and only costs $20.

NOTE: Believe their sizing chart. It is right on the money.

Got a Hanks for about $40 shipped. High quality, very thick leather.
100 year warranty, I will start looking for a defect around year 99.

I got the 5.11 basic TDU belt because it doesn't have all the gizmos like rappelling hooks and Velcro tabs and the like -- just a basic synthetic buckle. I've not paid over $15 for any of them. I wear one every day, and they have lasted a long time (years), still going strong.

I purchased the Ares Gear Ranger Belt a few months ago and don't regret it at all. It's a bit pricey, but the difference it made was amazing. If you are looking for a non-leather belt, I'd advise you to take a gander at this one. If you are looking for stiffness, this belt is about as stiff as it gets. I also carry a 1911 and this belt has made a significant difference in comfort.

Talking about belts. I ordered and received a new gun belt from Tucker gun leather today and MAN! This belt is as thick as a 2x4 and just as stiff. I'm breaking it in starting tomorrow with my Tucker holster. It took two hands and a foot just to loop it thru the holster holes. It should last at least until forever if i take somewhat care of it. I love it! Tucker sure makes great produces.

I've wanted an Ares enhanced for quite some time but the sizing scares me a bit... no one sizes off pants size and that's all they list. Can you offer any insight to the sizing and what kind of adjustment range you have?

ETA- Sorry for the hijack, but rather than PM, I thought the OP may benefit from the answer if he's considering an Ares.
