When I took my CHL class the instructor said at their last meeting that Austin was going to hire some "Temps" to speed things up...let's just hope so.

DPS website still says Processing Application. Maybe I should not be checking it 10 times per day. It seems that the time line for my fellow "waiting room" applicants is getting shorter or is that just wishful thinking on my part! :totap:

Mine still says "application incomplete...etc". It's been over a week since I called the office and was told that my application was in the process of being processed and that the website was having technical problems.

Heck, they have had the missing information in their office for a month now.

Know how you feel Txglock23. I've been anxiously waiting for my pin. It has been 21 days and it seems like 21 weeks. Since I can always wait for Christmas and I don't count birthdays anymore you would think that I would not be so impatient. Guess that age doesn't solve everything. Hang in there baby.

They seem to be getting faster at DPS! They received my package on 8/2/07 and last night my status changed to Application Completed - license issued or certificate active! 28 days. WOW! Could be a new record.lol. Now I'm sitting on the curb by the mailbox waiting on my dear sweet mail lady to hurry up and get here! :willynilly:
Look out Wally World!

Application complete!!!!!

Time line
Mailed 8/9
Received 8/13
Application Complete 9/24

Six weeks - not bad. It may have been completed sometime last week, I just couldn't check everyday. That was driving me crazy!!!

Woo Hoo!!!!
