Question regarding status on DPS site
So last week I completed my course, fingerprints, and submitted everything to Dps. I received confirmation that everything was received. Then the first time that i checked the dps status is said submitted, today when i checked again it showed nothing amd asking me to to apply or what license am i try to apply for. I think ive read post as to this happening to other here. Is this common? Will it update at some point showing new statuses? Thanks!

Re: Question regarding status on DPS site
You're fine. That's unfortunately how the DPS site works. Once submitted, the site will show as submitted, then the status disappears for a week or so and then you'll start seeing things coming back completed and as long as everything checks out, you'll see the coveted "Mailed" status. No need to be alarmed.
A good place to start is to look at http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic. ... start=5670 everyone posts their timeline there and it'll give you a good idea of how long you can expect the process to take. Looks like currently, it's taking around a month from getting all documents submitted to the time you get your license in hand.

I'm new to LTC also. Only had my plastic in hand for about 3 weeks so i'm still new and learning as well. Trying to help others where I can. Good luck, hopefully the turnaround time to get your LTC is quick.
