License finally arrived!

Completed class and paperwork at the end of Nov and after the first one getting lost in the mail my replacement arrived while I was out of town last week.

You may need to call them. Hold times vary, but they should be able to tell you something after all of this time.

Well, I called them this morning. They said "That is strange, you should see an update in the system, and should have seen it weeks ago. Oh well."

And then proceeded to tell me the status of my application.

They told me its in "Background Review" and could take up to 6 MONTHS before I hear anything new!?!?!?!

So I sent the Arizona packet off today, I'm sure I will here back from them before I do Texas, but something odd happen today .. I really just stop carrying about every getting the Texas LTC ... I guess I just gave the great state of Texas $140 for nothing other then a headache on my end....

I was saying the same thing not too long ago until my status change to print pending after I submitted supporting documents for a misdemeanor charge in 1995. I sent my Arizona packet off and it was returned because my Texas license to carry class was not conducted by an NRA certified instructor. What is nice is they returned my check and the fingerprint cards. I'm not really sure how to proceed if that is the requirement. My license to carry instructor his certified in police and military instruction. Please let me know how that goes for you. Right now I'm on day 4 of print pending here in Texas so I am hoping it doesn't take much longer before they mail it. Good luck!

01/17 Registered online / Received confirmation and indetogo emails
01/18 Fingerprints (Texas City location - in and out in less than 5 mins!)
01/23 LTC class - Tom Estep, great instructor!
01/23 Uploaded CHL100 and passport to DPS
02/02 Checked status online - All green / Print pending
02/07 Checked status online - Card mailed
02/08 Card in mailbox by 1400hrs

Well at least you got your money back!!! My status finally changed after almost 2 weeks of sending in my Mississippi supporting documents. Arizona permit still pending. All I did was send in a copy of my DD214 for the training requirement.

So DPS screwed up just like I said. I would have had my license today but because I'm in Louisiana I requested it to be mailed to a different address than my residence. They did it anyway after they notated my account. Apparently they had a backlog and didn't even read the notes on my account about where to send it. I NEVER requested a change of address. They somehow did it and sent it to my house in Texas which does me no good. Here's to another week of waiting for mail...
