Re: Dallas activists press for Confederate monument to come down
I really don't think this is truly about racism, that maybe the hue and cry but what this is about truly is advancing a socialist agenda, this is about prodding society to see how far they can make it move! The upper echelon are pushing there agenda by using the weak minded that are easily manipulated to try and mold the American society more towards socialism/fascism! What concerns me the most is when they push the wrong people and it get' s bloody!

If you get to redefine words then you can win just about any argument. Words like "hate", "racism" and "terror" are being redefined to exclude anything emanating from groups that are in favor by the left. And unfortunately, they have the media acting as their own private propaganda ministry so they are succeeding.crazy2medic wrote:I really don't think this is truly about racism, that maybe the hue and cry but what this is about truly is advancing a socialist agenda, this is about prodding society to see how far they can make it move! Similarly, if you get to rewrite history you have a powerful advantage in moving your agenda forward. That is what they are trying to do now.
But these are all just tactics for achieving the ultimate goal of a Socialist state. The populace just needs to be a little more subdued first, and preferably unarmed of course.

I disagree. It's about racism, just not the racism of the CSA.crazy2medic wrote:I really don't think this is truly about racism
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

What's $1.8 million? Besides, that's other people's money. With Mayor Rawlings out of town on Monday, Caraway spoke on the city's behalf. He says according to a memo from city staff, the estimated costs for the monuments' removal is $1.8 million.
It would cost $600,000 to remove the statue of Robert E. Lee and $1.2 million to remove the monument at Pioneer Park Cemetery.

This is the group pushing back hardest against the left wing radicals. They are currently engaging in a lawsuit to stop the removal of statues in Dallas:

That sounded interesting, until I saw those bozos running around in tac gear. Don't they realize that throws their credibility goes out the window?Bitter Clinger wrote:This is the group pushing back hardest against the left wing radicals. Yeah, I don't disagree. I have seen them in other settings where they have been dressed in khakis and uniform shirts and looking much more professional. I think that they hold a level 3 or 4 (?) Security license as well. Anyway, I am not a member, but I do find myself pretty strongly opposed to taking down of these statues and the erasure of American history, and I am looking for an effective means to make a positive impact. So far this is the best I have found. Just my $ .02Ruark wrote:That sounded interesting, until I saw those bozos running around in tac gear. Level 3 security license allows for open carry while performing assigned duty. (BTW: If the uniform has a State of Texas flag on it or no company name it is a violation according to the Texas Private Security Bureau)Bitter Clinger wrote:Yeah, I don't disagree. Level 4 Personal Protection Officer allows for concealed carry if escorting your primary.
The idea of them looking more professional would likely have nothing to do with a security officer license. That being said, I appreciate any persons attempt to educate persons on the importance of history and putting it in proper perspective. Talking with my adult children on the subject of inanimate objects causing a person to somehow become racist, bigoted, or that object being their motivating idol to act in that manner, seems absurd to us. I like to think we are an average middle class white family with friends, and family, of multiple races and backgrounds. We cannot come up with anyone that we know, that will admit it anyway, who looks towards a CSA statue and complain that if they had won the war things would be better. Are they out there? I'm sure. Is it somehow a dominant trait causing any minority group in the USA to be stymied? I doubt.

Can you please explain to me how wearing gear throws my credibility out the window?Ruark wrote:That sounded interesting, until I saw those bozos running around in tac gear. If we were wearing nazi uniforms or waving nazi flags... ok, sure. But when we are facing a violent group of people with sticks, shields, gas masks, and helmets, please explain to me how having body armor and a rifle is so radically beyond the realm of what is appropriate that you declare us to have suffered a loss of credibility?
If anything, it is only (and I do mean ONLY) wearing that gear that gets the job done. We have had antifa folks heckle and harass our people who were either unarmed, or only carrying concealed, but I have escorted groups to their vehicles and had antifa types turn tail and scatter when they see two of us all geared up escorting a handful of our rally attendees through a parking lot. So, being a member of the Safety Staff (We are not Security, and cannot refer to ourselves as such) of TITFF, I can tell you what has and has not happened at our Houston and San Antonio rallies.
What has your experience been at these rallies?
Also, doing or not doing something based on how it will be portrayed by the dishonest media is the height of foolishness. I could be dressed in a suit and tie, and simply because I am at a rally to support anything that the liberals do not like, I will be regarded as a right-wing nutjob by the media. So, how I am dressed has nothing to do with it. Being dressed in that gear increases my effectiveness and ability to do what I am there to do, and what the liberal media and timid Texans have to say about it is of no consequence to me.
