First post. after months of lurking I decided to join, have learned a lot already. after a long search I finally found this thread. It should be made a sticky or even its own section.

here we go:

another month or two I will be buying either a STI LAWMAN or a Kimber SUPER CARRY PRO CUSTOM HD. cant find either but that's another thread.

Saying hello again. I've been away for about 5 years. I'll be applying for a CHL again in the next few weeks. I originally joined this forum on the first day it was open and I'm thrilled to see it still around and so many people still here.

Age: 33
Corprate Security ( Not a Mall Ninja!!! ) :P
Married 5 years. 1 boy age 3.
Years CHL: None yer. I will be sending the paperwork on Monday
Carry guns/equipment: It will be either a Springfield 1911 or Taurus 85 or both. Just have to play with it and see what works. My even have to buy another gun, darn!

Looking for a gunsmith to moderniza my 1962 browning high power i.e. new coating (black), night sights, check up on internals, beaver tail, checker front and back of grip, Novak cut the top, ect.

live in Springtown I have lived in the Ft Worth area my whole life
Retired Fire Lieutenant currently working as a Paramedic
I was a Tactical Medic for the police department in city I worked for
Married and I have two children 29 yo daughter with two grandchildren, 25 yo son with a grandchild on the way

Life long gun owner, I can never remember not owning at least 3 guns, I have been shooting since I was 4 hunting since I was 10.
I had a CHL when they were originally issued but let it lapse, currently have my LTC for 2 years?
I have one pistol Paraordnance P14, I open carry 95% of the time!
I Keep a JRC carbine .45 in my truck as my truck gun

Joined the other day, and I tend to participate...so here's the basic run-down


Male
64 yo
Live in the Denton area, having just moved back to TX from the D.C. Area
Retired Air Force/Retired Civil Service
Married and I have two children and 5.5 grandchildren (6 at the end of September)

I have owned weapons since 1974. Got my first carry license in Texas in 2000. Moved to VA and have had a CHL there since 2003. I now have both a TX LTC and a VA CHL
Daily carry is a Glock 19 G4 in various appendix holsters
