9mm NATO loads
Is there a common available FMJ round that closely matches 9mm NATO. rounds. I normally shoot WWB but I suspect they are under powered compared to military rated combat rounds. What weight mullet does our military use in its combat rounds.

keying off the specs listed by nuparadigm , here is an article and some charts that might put you in the ballpark. +P and +P+ really don't approach full on machine gun ammo, but they are representative of handgun ballistics.

It looks like the M882 or a commercial equivalent is what I'm looking for. I am a little surprised that it is such a wimpy load.

Re: 9mm NATO loads
I guess if you could find a 124gn +P then it would be the same ~ the problem I don't know of any FMJ +P's (only HP).Liberty wrote:Is there a common available FMJ round that closely matches 9mm NATO. rounds. Why not just get some Nato rounds ~ they are available but hard to find.
You may want to shoot a similar HP or just a normal power 124gn such as Lawman 124gn.
I like the Nato for my Beretta CX4 (I have accumulated about 4K ~ luckily).
I would use a HP for self defense.

I own a Beretta P92, and I keep Federal Hydrashocks in it. The gun isn't really a carry weapon, but I'm interested in putting at least a few rounds that it was designed for through it.
