You got to be kidding me? A max 8.5 x 11? So I could have a postage stamp sized sign and that would constitute adequate inform?

Re: HB 172 - 8.5 x 11 (MAX) 30.06/7 Signs
Why don't we just create approved signs that would allow for the arrest of invited guests who are exercising other fundamental liberties that the property owner might disagree with?
What if I am really offended by someone I invite to a party who parks their car with a "Beto for Senate" bumper sticker in my driveway? What am I supposed to do? Why do I have to ask them to leave before I can have them arrested? What if they are scary looking? Why can't the government just arrest them so I don't even have to talk to them?
It's almost like the government expects me to act like an adult instead of a scared little child. How crazy is that? Wouldn't we all be better off if I could just put a small sign on a pole at the end of my driveway and then hide in my bedroom with my pacifier until the police came to save me from being offended?

How about if you posted a sign that says "You are trespassing if your car is parked on my property and has a Beto for Senate bumper sticker". Could you not technically call LEO to have that person removed if they refused to leave? They have been given notice by sign and verbally. Your property, posted legally. What ya think? My next door neighbor had such a bumper sticker but he didn't touch my Cruz yard sign. Cost $6 and will store it for 6 more years.Soccerdad1995 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 4:42 pm Why don't we just create approved signs that would allow for the arrest of invited guests who are exercising other fundamental liberties that the property owner might disagree with?

Need to make them much bigger. I want to know a business is anti-gun before I waste time driving in and parking. While we're at it, make them do the same for all advertisements, print, video, or audio.

I concur and the 06 and 07 must be posted where they are readily visible from the parking lot! That way a simple drive past the entrance will let you know wether to patronize that business or go somewhere else, it's a pain to find a parking spot and walk up to the business and find out once you go past the first set of doors that they are posted on the second set of doors!jordanmills wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 10:44 pm Need to make them much bigger. Well, we could try to increase the minimum letter size to 6 inches............

I propose a bill that require a business to file for a permit with DPS, the business must have a permit for each sign they post and each permit is $40 and they must renew their permit yearly!

Also, it must be printed by an approved vendor, with prices set by the DPS.

I’d trade authorizing a smaller sign for eliminating the criminal penalty for trespassing it.
