Do not travel due to crime.

Armed groups operate independently of the government in many areas of Guerrero. Members of these groups frequently maintain roadblocks and may use violence towards travelers. U.S. government employees may not travel to the entire state of Guerrero, including Acapulco, Zihuatanejo, Ixtapa, and Taxco.

The series is very good. I would no longer go to Mexico though, ever.

Two San Diego residents went to Mexico for a family BBQ and did not return. Three bodies were found at the front of an apartment block, they had been tortured. Two were the young Americans.

Edit: I just spent the last hour researching Murders in Mexico. Good Night NUrse! It is actually crazy the stuff I find. Why anyone would go anywhere in Mexico right now just escapes me.

It was already a mess at that time, just for different reasons. I spent a lot of my youth throughout the country as a missionary kid.

No way I'd go back by choice now. Last time I was there was around 2008 on a cruise, we stopped at Cozumel and I didn't even bother getting off the boat I was so tired of it

542 homicides in Chicago in 2018. There are no gun stores in Chicago. Population about 2,700,000

335 homicides in Houston in 2018. There are about 150 gun stores and maybe another 1500 places you can buy guns in Houston. Population about 2,400,000.
