Negligent discharge.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Negligence probably. But these incidents of unholstered striker-fired weapons seems to be happening with increasing frequencies. Are newbies made aware of the danger with an unholstered weapon? It seems that ignorance might be a major factor in these incidences.
It seems that the gun community needs to emphasize that every handgun should always be securely holstered (or in a proper hard case) when being transported or carried. Is this being taught in LTC class or NRA courses?

Yup it's being taught, or at least it was in my LTC class. Heck it's even enforced in gun stores in the way of keeping your holstered weapon holstered to prevent ND's. If you need to check holster fit then ask and most good shops will allow you to check the fit or whatever on a display unit.Liberty wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 8:37 amNegligence probably. Cadet charge with illegal carrying of weapon.
Didn’t think about that.
May not have had LTC.
College could be posted.
Best comment: “Witnesses reported that upon hearing the gunshot, the instructor immediately shouted "Tackleberry!!!".

The story reports that the cadet does not have a LTC and is charged with a felony.philip964 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 10:07 am https://www.click2houston.com/news/cade ... -injured-3

Glad he was weeded out before he hit the streets. We do not need people enforcing the laws who do not think the laws apply to them.

That's what we used to call a teachable moment.

I saw no report as to whether the gun was holstered or not. Probably not but who knows. I saw no report that he did not have a LTC. Ideally any of us should be able to carry a gun in a backpack (the old 2A). Sometimes we make assumptions that are estimates. News reports are as we know not very accurate. In any event this may put a dent into his career. On the other hand the FBI agent that did the flip is still an FBI agent isn't he?
