19 year old murdered in an apartment parking lot by persons unknown. This would be number 14. Apartment parking lots are the most dangerous places in Houston. Gulfton area becoming worse than Gunspoint.

Houston also has mean squirrels.

Two women went to the hospital. People afraid to go outside.

Article does not mention the risk of rabies.

Cypress neighborhood.
Hahaha... I am old enough to remember eating squirrels. Now they are turning the tables.

Bellaire isn't Houston.
But apparently it's got some mean streets.

We now have learned Bellaire has some stupid streets as the student was killed with supposedly an unloaded gun. However, we have also learned the shooter, immediately left the scene, disposed of the gun and was hiding behind a dumpster when arrested by police, and is not answering questions which sounds pretty guilty of murder rather than manslaughter.

Gun held to child's head during home invasion near Memorial City on Houston's West side.

Friday night in Houston.

https://www.click2houston.com/news/loca ... olice-say/

First we have this guy. Accused of sexually assaulting a woman shopper in an elevator at a new HEB grocery store in the Heights and failing to register as a sex offender. Likes to hang out at schools he's not suppose to be living near. Ladies, he is why you should carry. $50,000 bond.

https://www.click2houston.com/news/loca ... e-houston/

Woman found murdered in a vacant lot in SE Houston. No. 15.

https://www.click2houston.com/news/loca ... th-inside/

Man found murdered in his fancy apartment with the door unlocked. Upscale area of Houston. Maybe it was another one of those got off at the wrong floor and shot the man inside their own apartment by mistake. Naw, apartment was searched for stuff and his car is missing. Picked up the wrong, guy or gal at a bar? Anyway no. 16.

We are just below the one a day threshold. But tonight is Saturday, stay tuned.

Jimney Crickets! They may just hit one a day. I looked at that list Charles post the other day and Dallas was right up there with Houston. It makes me wonder if Dallas would be that high.

Man walking in the middle of the road at 1:30 am is struck by a car, struck by another car, struck by a third car and drug. Only the third car stopped. Pedestrian died, but I haven’t been counting hit and runs. Hit and runs occur every day. Almost more likely the driver will not stop.

Morning shooting by a wife of her estranged husband who came to her, or their house, argument insued, she grabbed a gun, it went off by accident. Wife has not been charged, so a little early to call this a murder. We have had 20 manslaughters and murders this year. It’s the 19th.

He is tallying the Metro Houston area, a Population according to Google as 6,997,384. A murder a day is 365 murders. A murder rate of 5.216 per 100,000 doesn't sound particularly high. Probably a bit higher for Houston proper, but lower than places like Galveston Beaumont/Port Arthur.

Pantsless sex offender attempts to enter an elderly couple's home through the backyard doggie door. He moons the nurse and the elderly wife through the window.

Just another day in Fairfield in far Northwest Houston.

Charged with murder. So that would be no. 19 on the 19th. Suggestion to those separated and deciding to return to pick up some things. Do not arrive in your new girlfriends car.

This may be No. 20. Robbing a convenience store using a Uhaul Truck as the getaway car. Police chasing the trio. One man jumps out and is caught another man falls out when it sounds like the woman driver goes cross country in the truck. The man who falls out, is run over by the truck. After smashing into a police car the chase ends with the driver arrested and now may be facing a murder charge.

https://www.chron.com/news/houston-texa ... 990222.php

No. 21. Charges to be upgraded to murder as woman who was critically beaten by her boyfriend earlier, has died in the hospital.
