The problem I have with all of this is there are no close locations or names mentioned. How are we to know if we have been close to someone we know that turned up exposed? How does government know that they haven’t been close enough to infect someone at a store.
Although I know someone that has passed, I wouldn’t have known it had I not seen the name of his retirement center on the news. In fact it was 4 days before media actually said where he lived and another day before we found out his name. How do they know I hadn’t visited him ( I haven’t)?

I visited my Local Kroger and HEB this morning and saw that their stocks ot Tonic Water looked a bit depleted. They had much more Club Soda and Ginger Ale on the shelves either side of the Tonic.

I plan on drinking a a quart of Tonic a day, after all it won't do any harm and I quite like the drink anyway, back in my military days in Belize I used to drink a pint a day, in the Officer's Mess (of course back then it usually had some Gin in it).

This is not medical or professional advice. The amount of quinine in tonic water is so low it has no therapeutic value. It is only for the bitter taste.

Tonic water contains no more than 83 mg of quinine per liter—a much lower concentration than the 500 to 1,000 mg in the therapeutic dose of quinine tablets.
Drinking a few ounces of tonic water shouldn't be harmful, but it isn't likely to prevent your leg cramps

Add some lime to your gin and tonic and at least you'll get some Vitamin C.

Don't know how it came about, but for years one of my favorite summer drinks has been 50% tonic water and 50% lemonade in a big tumbler over ice. Like an Arnold Palmer but with tonic water instead of tea. The tonic cuts the sweetness of the lemonade, and adds a little fiz. With sugar free lemonade & sugar free tonic water, it's a diet drink!

Come to think of it, I don't have any tonic water or lemonade in my CAB -- COVID Apocalypse Bunker.

Hm. Been watching the news umpteen hours a day, but evidently missed this one. I saw that Amazon had put priority on "essential" items, which impacts some small sellers, but I hadn't seen this.

I pay a small monthly fee for Amazon Pantry free shipping. Found it a simple and easy way to buy various nonperishables we use regularly, generally a little cheaper on a lot of items and don't have to worry about lugging stuff from the supermarket.

Italy has a huge Chinese population. China has taken over the Italian fabric and clothing industries.

Globally, where the Chinese populations are high, so is the China virus. Here in the US it is Washington state, New York, and California.

I have been drinking a Rock Shandy for many years - club soda, bitters and a lime wedge.
A nice refreshing diet drink for the summer.
I didn't even know it had a name until a couple years ago when AndyC told me.
