Re: Today in Trump's 1st term as President
December 27, 2020 Trump signs 900 billion dollar covid relief bill, after holding it up trying for a better deal for ordinary Americans.
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireSto ... s-74921066
Of course most Americans in Georgia wanted the $2000, but the Republican Senators did not want to control the Senate next year so they held fast on spending for the first time in quite a while. Yeah and I think it still had all the pork like gender studies in Pakistan.
Best joke about that, rather than send the 10 million US dollars to Pakistan for gender studies, why not instead send 10 million US gender studies graduates or students to Pakistan.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has blocked Democrats’ push for new covid relief bill to give $2000 to everyone.
He really does not want to be Majority leader anymore.

Trump call with Sec of State of Georgia was illegally taped and then sent to Washington Post. Supposedly he tries to pressure the Sec of State to "find" 13,000 votes or something, which the Dems are saying is illegal. Supposedly also if you listen to the entire conversation it was taken out of context and no crime was committed.
It becomes the latest impeachable crime of the day for Trump.

Re: Today in Trump's 1st term as President
January 6, 2021 The day that will live in infamy.
Both Republicans lose in Georgia. Senate goes Democratic. Trump invites 700,000 of his friends to Washington DC to protest the election.
Gives a speech to them, fails to mention to them to not invade the Capital building as they are counting the electoral college votes.
In a turn of unintended consequences maybe a 100 or two idiots invade or are invited into the Capital Building to protest the election and instead create a giant legal and publicity problem for Trump, the likes which no one could have imagined as Democrats and Republicans alike become attack dogs, potentially ending any future political ideas Trump might have had. Only time will tell.
It completely turns the narrative away from a stolen election, into Trump and anyone who liked him, voted for him, supported or worked for him, into traitors to the United States and all it stands for.
Fearing for their safety Congress stops the count for the Presidency and evacuates the Capital. One unarmed woman veteran is shot to death by a Capital Police officer who is a supporter of Black Live Matter. Another Capital Police Officer a Trump supporter suffers a stroke and dies at the hospital. Three other people at the capital die from medical conditions or being trampled.
What was to be a beginning of a new campaign for President in 2024, turns into a nightmare for all Conservatives.
In the only good thing one could say about it, was that except for the police officer, no guns were involved. Not that it mattered to the press, except for a few broken windows, no fires were set, no statues were toppled, nothing was spray painted, no paintings were vandalized, many people walked between the velvet ropes and the majority of invaders seemed to behave themselves as if they had been invited in, which may have been the case. In any event it was probably not the outcome they expected and the exact opposite of what they wanted.
