Bill placed on senate intent calendar 5/4/2021. This is where things get interesting. If your senator has not publicly stated their opinion on this piece of legislation, I would urge you to contact them first thing in the morning to politely inform them of your position as their constituent.

Well it was on the Intent Calendar for today but it looks like they adjourned for the day before getting to it. Hopefully it's still on the Intent Calendar tomorrow. I don't know if it's a common thing to put a bill on the intent calendar and then never get to it.

There were plenty of other bills they didn't get to yet so it wasn't just that one left.

I'm told that typically it has to be on the intent calendar for 3 calendar days (Senate rule) before it can be heard on the floor. I saw it on the calendar before midnight, so it MIGHT be heard tomorrow. We shall see. I've also seen that Senator Nichols (who was one of the few who had not expressed a public opinion), has come out in support of HB 1927.

Senators who have not yet publicized their opinion are feeling pressure. I encourage everyone who resides in the districts of the undecided, call them and POLITELY let your senator know how you (as their constituent) would like them to vote.

I noticed the official "on the intent calendar" date on the Legislature website was 5/4.
