Permanent address and renewal questions

#1

Post by diverg »

I just realized that my LTC has expired. So I need to renew, but have a couple of questions about my address. Currently I have an apartment lease out off town because of work. I come home most weekends. My LTC is based on what I consider to be my home residence. This working out of town and apartment lease is just a recent occurence. It is a long term assigment that should last a few years with me commuting back on most weekends. For LTC purposes can I keep my home address, or do I need to change it to where my apartment lease is at. My DL also has my home address as well.

I would go with the one that matches your D.L. I assume that you get your mail there as well?

Go with what Tex1961 said. Less confusion. DL and LTC show same address. In the military we would call that "Home of Record" not where you may live for a period of time due to work as long as you maintain that HOR. :txflag:

If your wife/significant other, kids, dog, lawn mower, tools, neighbors and weekend hangout are at your "Home" address... And your suit, ties, fancy shoes, rental car and suitcase are at your apartment.... It's clear where your "Home" is... Use that address.

The address on your LTC should always match the address on your DL.
