Second Amendment Being Restored to Its Rightful Place, Thanks to Bruen Decision

Second Amendment scholar and attorney Dave Workman listed other targets for lawsuits following the Bruen decision...Workman estimates there are some 20,000 to 25,000 restrictive gun laws in the United States. If he is anywhere close to right, the rising tide of lawsuits is likely just the beginning.

The problem is in finding cases for each of those which challenge the specific laws AND are funded for the challenge. Much of the judiciary is hostile to overturning those bad laws. Nesbitt comes to mind where are ruling against the Corps of Engineers which should have been applied across the country was limited to the jurisdiction of one Federal court. I'm happy for the progress that has been made since Bruen but believe that is going to be a long, hard, expensive trip to the truly rightful place of keeping and bearing arms.

Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law Prof. Jacob Charles, who told the newspaper, “In the immediate aftermath, we’ve got a half a dozen courts who are striking down laws based on this decision. I think it’s going to be shocking to people when we see the fallout from Bruen in the first six months.”

University of New Haven law Prof. Michael Lawlor, who told the publication, “I think gun control advocates have to think twice about when they’re enacting laws, they have to have in the back of their mind that this may get to the Supreme Court and they want to have it as unassailable as possible.”
