Two protestors receive 2million and 8 million for injuries received in use of less than lethal force against the two protestors during George Floyd riots in Austin.

Austin crime watchdog calls on DA Garza to step aside in case against 19 indicted officers

Wouldn’t want to be an Austin police officer with a DA out to get you.

Austin City Council set to vote on $1.18 million guaranteed basic income plan

https://www.foxnews.com/us/austin-city- ... ncome-plan

85 families will get $1000 a month for a year.

85 x $12,000 = $1,020,000 + $160,000 administration fees = $1,180,000. That’s 13% administrative fee. I’d do it for $100,000,
Austin’s families is 380,000 so 85 is 0.022%

Austin being all California now.

And the point is?

Oh we feel good about ourselves. Ok.

its like the plague spreading faster than covid. seatle and a few ca counties are doing the same thing.

well ausitnites voted them in.
maybe the 85 are the ones i see on street corners begging for money, while ignoring the help wanted signs in store windows behind them.
last time we were in austin it was like a beggars circus, every freaking corner somebody wanting money. even had a guy in home depot parking lot standing under a GIANT sign ask people to apply now for a job. there was this able bodies turkey begging for money.

I lived in Austin a little over 20 years. It's so sad to see what it's become.

Texas salon owners consider closing shop after crime crisis leaves them waiting up 'to an hour' for police

How’s that defunding the police working out.

How’s that arresting people for shooting criminals working out.

Really not yet in Houston. Right now Houston has the “ Liberal Judges” issue. Revolving door for criminals no matter how many times they pillage rape and murder. I would say it is demoralizing the police, but they are not defunding and the DA is not prosecuting self defense. But we will see with the Taco shop “extreme” self defense.

It is not surprising. The DA and city authorities did everything in their power to create this mess. They cripple their police force and law abiding citizens while encouraging rioters and criminals at every turn.

APD stated Saturday night that they were investigating the incidents and said they want to reiterate "reiterate this behavior is reckless & poses significant risks and dangers to the public.
APD reiterates, but does not enforce law.

Does APD have any MRAPs, or are those reserves for school board protesters?
