Feinstein was in "public service" since 1970:

Dianne Feinstein leaves stunning properties to her, billionaire husband’s feuding kids
While others in Congress struggled to make ends meet, sleeping in their offices to save on rent, Feinstein commuted from San Francisco aboard a Gulfstream G650 jet (pre-owned, the aircraft averages $61,815,000), sported expensive jewelry and flitted from one mansion to the next.

Her last disclosure, in May, put her net worth at $69.4 million.
wikipedia:
Blum's wife, Senator Dianne Feinstein, were criticized over Blum's government contracts and business dealings with the People's Republic of China and her past votes on trade issues with the country, however he denied any wrongdoing.[35]

Blum and his wife were also criticized for having a 75% stake in contractor Tutor Perini, which received assets in military contracts in Iraq and Afghanistan during the U.S. occupation of those countries.[36][37]

In 2009, Feinstein introduced legislation to provide $25 billion in taxpayer money to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, a government agency that had awarded her husband's real estate firm, CB Richard Ellis.[38]

In 2020, Blum was discovered to have written letters on behalf of unqualified applicants to various UC campus chancellors.[39] The applicants were admitted through student athletics programs, even though, according to a state audit “they possessed little athletic talent.” [40] The audit described Blum's actions as "particularly problematic" as University Regents should not be influencing admissions decisions.
These people were laughing at us all the way to the bank.

Megan Markle considers running for Dianne Feinstein Senate seat.
CA deserves Megan’s representation. Her goal would be the White House.

Fenix Ammunition offers free shipping to CA in honor of Feinstein’s death.

Feinstein's Husband Co-Owned Chinese Firm that Stole Classified Data from US Military
Feinstein’s husband Richard Blum was part owner of a Chinese firm that allegedly produced the computers with embedded spyware chips to steal classified data from America's military and feed it back to China.

The computers stole so much sensitive information that the U.S. military has never been able to calculate how much data they allowed China to steal.

The explosive revelation was uncovered by investigative journalist and author Peter Schweizer for his new book "Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win."

A large chapter of Red-Handed is devoted to documenting Feinstein’s long and expensive relationship with Communist China.
Yes, In addition to attacking the constitution and our fundamental rights, she and her husband sold out our nation for money.

Well, it's certainly a good thing that the democrats have other, longstanding, stalwart and honest women in Congress like Nancy Pelosi.

Oh.

Gavin Newsom's pick to replace Feinstein appears to scrub online evidence of living in Maryland

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/gavin- ... g-maryland

Newsom feels a Maryland resident would be the best choice to represent California in the Senate.

Newsom checks all the boxes with this pick except resident of CA.

I think she will not pass a constitutional challenge. From the article:
Newsom's office told Fox News Digital that Butler moved to the suburbs near Washington, D.C., when she became EMILY's List president in 2021, and that she has a house in California. The governor's office added that Butler will re-register to vote in California before she is sworn in.
But the Constitution does not say resident, but inhabitant. She is not currently an inhabitant of CA if she is living in MD. And changing it before she is sworn in is too late. The Constitution requires her to be an inhabitant at the "time of election". I would think a decent lawyer could make the case that her time of election was when Newsome nominated her.
