Anyone want to meet up at Market Hall Gun Show on Saturday?
I'm heading to the gunshow this weekend to pick up some 1911 goodies (probably at least some mags, and maybe some parts if I find some good deals) and wondered if any of the other DFW Area folks would like to meet there and hang out?
If there's interest we can figure out timing, etc, as I'm open.

Y'all drop by Denton County Sports Assn. table and say "hey". I forgot the number but think it's about the 3'rd or 4'th isle off the west wall and about 60 yards front the front. I know the table is on the east side of isle. Hopefully sumbuddy will direct me to it again when we set up Friday night.

My wife and I, along with a few friends, went to the show today. I was very disappointed. It was so incredibly crowded that it took twice as long as usual to walk the show and I had to skip parts of it that were simply impassible.
The only treasure I found was 2k Federal large magnum pistol primers for $16 per thousand. I did see Xander amidst the chaos but saw no other forum members, none that I recognize by face anyway.
Usually, I go both days but after today, I'd had enough of this show.

I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

I went today hoping to find an Advantage Arms .22 conversion kit for my Glock 27, but only one person was even selling the kits and they did not have one for the smaller Glocks. I did not leave empty handed though, and ended up picking up a Surefire e2e, 30 round M1 Carbine mag, some basic cleaning supplies, and 10 silhouette targets.

The guy with the conversion kits is the one and only gun show vendor in the area that sells them. I bought my kit for the G19 from him.WillieD wrote:I went today hoping to find an Advantage Arms .22 conversion kit for my Glock 27, but only one person was even selling the kits and they did not have one for the smaller Glocks. The show sure was busy. I wasn't too impressed with anything I saw, but still walked out with everything that I could carry - got a Lee Classic turret press, powder scale, powder measure, 1K primers and bullets.
I think I gave myself nerve damage carrying the bullets in my Maxpedition, my right hand is still tingling.

I found the 1911 parts I needed. Was dissapointed that most of the mags I saw were either 80 years old, or $30 a piece.
Was also way too crowded and warm and smelly for my taste; I didn't stay long.
