Harry S. Truman was the US naval ship.

It’s in the Middle East, Egypt, not Norfolk.

There's zero excuses for this. There's gonna be a few people relieved of their commands.

My squadron was always on the USS Constellation when I was in and the only ships I can recall being within mile or two while operating at sea were while doing unreps. Every other time we saw another ship it seemed more than several lengths of our ship away.

I hope that skipper enjoyed his time in.

Captain relieved of duty on aircraft carrier.

As is the normal result.

Still not sure why a destroyer did not take the hit. I thought that was their really only job.

I was on a destroyer that had a nasty run in some years back…the USS Fitzgerald. I was the first master helmsman of that ship and I don’t understand how that happened nor this last collision.
