Washington Redskins Safety Sean Taylor shot in his home...

#1

Post by stevie_d_64 »

Links and info to follow...

My knee-jerk reaction is how is this possible in the District of Columbia? /sarcasm

And...

How will this high-profile shooting effect the D.C. vs. Heller Supreme Court opinion on the Second Amendment coming up...(Will it help the case or will it hurt the case?)

I'm sure this will generate some discussion as this story develops...It is breaking news right now...

It wasn't in DC, it was in Florida.

Wow, that would make the perp a pretty good shot (Florida to DC).

It's a sad day for Skins fans. He was a great player who will be missed.

Taylor grabbed a machete he keeps in the bedroom for protection. Someone then broke through the bedroom door and fired two shots, one missing and one hitting Taylor,
Hmmmm. Never bring a knife to a gunfight comes to mind, but I'm glad he survived.

Sadly, he didn't.

didn't Mr. Taylor have a bit of a prior "record" that may have prohibited him from firearms possession, although that doesn't deter most "professional atheletes" from prohibited behaviour.

The story is sad indeed, but I think there is much more to it. I am not detective but wonder why would whoever broke in not shoot his girlfriend or baby that were in the same room with him? Why would they not steal anything? Breaking in during the middle of the night and firing 2 shots at one person and leaving empty handed smells fishy. Maybe the girlfriend did it and used the previous weeks break in as a cover up . Guess we will see in the weeks to come.

I'm sure we will hear more about this. There's no telling why it happened, but it's only a matter of time.

Maybe its because Taylor was the only one holding a machette

Brings to mind all of the unwashed, dunderheaded, gun-control fanatics, that believe it is better to aim for the leg instead of COM, because you stand a better chance of surviving if you get shot in the leg...

Idiots!

If the femoral artery (I believe that's the one) is breached, bleedout doesn't take long at all.
