I understand the want to quell the personal attacks against HEMIzygote, and that is for a good reason. However, I do not fault anybody FOR attacking, as when he authored the original thread, there was an immediate outpouring of sympathy and care for what he had to "go through". But after the members of this community that had connections within the media and law enforcement began to research this and were coming back with negative reports of this ever happening, it was like a stab in the back not only for the members who showed support and sympathy for him, but for the texaschlforum.com community and the state-wide CHL community as a whole.

We pride ourselves on not only our compassion for one another, but also for the trust we place in each other. When we meet another member off of these forums somewhere, we know with almost absolute certainty that that person is an outstanding citizen and an upright person. Heck, when I first came here the members of these forums helped me out with just about every question and issue you could encounter when carrying. Matter of fact, I actually had a member of these forums mail me a holster to try out when I was holster shopping for the first time, all without even calling me! It was all done through private message here. On top of that, Jbirds1210 is sponsoring my first NRA membership (Thanks again btw!) so that I can become even more politically active and stand up for what I believe in.

Show me another forum where that kind of compassion, sympathy, and trust takes place in the firearms community and I'll gladly sign up and take part.

I am not saying that HEMIzygote has lied for whatever reason, but when it sure seems like it, this community is going to take it personally, and for good reason. A good place to be has been created and grown here, and we want to keep it that way.
Summed up perfectly, pretty hard to top that sentiment

Maybe he's been out of town on vacation and a malicious ex-girlfriend hacked his account to screw with him.

Just throwing out conspiracy theories.

I keep expecting to hear that excuse offered up as an explanation for the original (and subsequent) posts.

If news reports don't pan out, I was thinking the same thing. That the hacking excuse might be used as the cause of this whole stir. I can't wait. I don't know any media or LEO, but I do it the old fashioned way; datamining on the internet.

However, I don't blame Hemi if the story is false. I blame the culture where we have people that come on here and make misleading post about "I had to draw my weapon today" for example. Then later on say that my kid wanted me to draw it on paper so that he can color is for class or whatever. I've seen many of these ridiculous posts and others similar since I have been on this forum.
If there is any rule changes going on, then it should be that if you are posting some made up story, then you need to include the word "FICTION" somwhere in the text or heading.
If you don't stand for something, then you will fall for anything.

Russell,

Extremely well said. That pretty much sums up my feeling about this also.

Ha I thought the same thing but thats easily verified. I'm sure the admins can see what IP he is posting from. That would at least narrow it down to if the posts are being logged from a different subnet. Who knows. Best of luck to him either way.

This may have been covered elsewhere, but just FYI... there are only two students named Ryan at the Texas Tech School of Pharmacy. One is class of 2009, the other class of 2011.

Previous posts have suggested that HEMIzygote is NOT affiliated with Texas Tech School of Pharmacy nor any other school. Because of privacy issues, any personal information, such as his [first] name, has been removed from all previous posts by the moderators.

WildBill wrote:Think about it. HEMIzygote has stated on this forum that he is 22 years old and an "infectious disease pharmacist." It takes at least six years to become a pharmacist.
Six years of what? A BSPharm and 1500hrs of internship would be a bit under 5 years, assuming no special effort to speed things along via unholy courseload, etc. In some states, even a PharmD can be had in around 5 years. Unless there are some special restrictions on internship hours, 1500 could be done in six months or less of 12 hour days and six day weeks.

As for the other, it wouldn't be the first time someone misstated their minor as a specialization.

Just throwing out possibilities here...
