Seeing that it's almost new years, let's have a little fun. If you've got a tactical pet, post 'em!

This is Alex, the "Tacticat". So named by a fellow on another forum because he gets into almost all my gun pictures; he seems to love the camera.

You are reminding me of the best picture I never got.

I have a little fluffy black cat named Tactical. She was a feral at work that was so sick I was able to scoop her up instead of trapping her - she had terrible earmice (eat mites) and was too wobbly to stand up.

One day, after the AWB expired and I had assembled my little CAR-15, I saw her snuggled on the bed with it (mag out, unloaded). She was curled up with it, stretching and rubbing on it, and she looked up at me, blinked, and said, "MY rifle, Uncle Andrew!"

I told her ok, I'm going to take it to the range and sight it in, and she could use it on coyotes. She asked me, "'Yotes gud to eeet?" and I told her, no; the 'yotes might think that a little black kitten was good to eat.

She considered this datum for a moment, then told me, "Zero COM at 200; if they be any closer I'll hold 6 o'clock." So I did.

Sure wish I had gotten that picture of her though.

Happy New Year!

Andrew et furry al

Here is Toby. I almost changed his name to Ranger because he would stay outta my range bag.

This is Lucy, my Pit/Healer mix and Baley, my 12lb Blue Chihuahua that looks pretty darn evil and thinks she is a Great Dane.

This is Baxter. He would sniff or lick someone to death.

This is Mia, AKA "Daddy's little Princess". Believe it or not, she's rather scrappy. My big kitty weighs more than twice her weight, and she whips up on him.

Image
This is Ping. If anyone should be denied the right to own or possess a weapon, it should be him. I'm convinced that, if he were human, he would have long since been in prison. In this picture, he's saying, "Hm. I wonder if this would take care of my little dog problem."

And this is both cats:

Yeah, but at least he knows to rack the slide with his paws well away from the trigger!

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

How about a whole couch full of dog?

Tonka is 120 pounds of half bloodhound, half Great Dane. The scruffy little yellow mutt behind her is the early warning system.

Guys...the last two are very beautiful dogs! I would like to take Tonka out in the yard and wrestle for a little while! I bet he is a lot of fun.
