Amazing...I know it's Atlanta and all, but man, a 14 year old? Bet he didn't think about the repercussions of his actions...

My guess is that he wasn't new to crime at 14.

Yeah, it's a shame he was so young, but look at it from the point of view of his future victims.

He won't get a chance for a career that included murder.

That police cadet just saved an untold number of people from robbery and possibly murder, not to mention the cost to tax payers to feed, clothe and house this miscreant for whatever part of his life he'd have spent behind bars.

I don't care that a 14 year old didn't think about the repercussions. He knew he was doing wrong. Since he probably had earlier victims I have no compassion for him. He knew enough about what he was doing to know that he shouldn't be doing it.

Man, I'd hate to be in that fella's shoes, but he most likely saved his own life. How many robbers kill their victims so that there are no victims?

That would be pretty close to my worst nightmare. The guy, undoubtedly, had no choice, but to have to defend yourself and then find out that it was a kid. That would really tear me up. That guy needs all the prayers he can get.

I cadet didn't know the age...which like the Al Quida kids, it doesn't matter anyway. They mentioned that the kid had keys to a stolen car on his person as well. I think he got what was coming.

If somebody's pointing a shotgun at me their age is a non-issue.
