Kel Tec P3AT DFW area FTF okay

#1

Post by orionengnr »

Second Generation P3AT, blued with black plastic. I have only put about 75 rounds through it.

Full disclosure: I had a few misfeeds, always while racking the slide to chamber the first round. I was using PMC FMJ and Cor-Bon JHP ammo.

I already have a First Gen P3AT that works 100% on any ammo, so I know that they can run just fine. On the other hand, I will not carry anything that is not 110% reliable, and I am not inclined to spend a whole lot more time, money or effort on this one. I'm hoping that someone who has some experience with making Kel-Tecs work can jump on this and make it work quickly and easily.

I paid $245 (plus tax etc) for it; if I have to pay another $50 to FedEx it back to Kel-Tec, I will have too much into it to sell.

Anyone interested in taking it off my hands for $200 FTF in the DFW area?

any interest in trading for a PF9? it's hard chrome with about 400 rounds through it. no issues except due to limp wristing.

if not interested in trading i'd still like to take it off your hands. i'm out of town until sunday night but could meet you monday. whereabouts are you located?

Not really interested in a trade, thanks anyway.

I am just north of DFW airport.
Bass Pro in Grapevine is close by and a good meeting place (they have an indoor range if you want to test-drive.
You have a CHL, I take it. PM me for phone info, etc.
Thanks, Rich

I would prefer FTF, bu if that falls through I will ship.

Honestly, on $200 pistol, $20 shipping plus your FFL transfer fees make this a $240-250 deal for you.
If you have an FFL, then you are back to $220, which may be a good deal.
Let me know, Rich

we would be able to avoid FFL since we're both in the state of Tx.

A private party may legally ship a rifle to another private party (non-FFL) within his state, but (I believe) that one cannot legally ship a handgun to a non-FFL.

I know I can ship to a manufacturer (back to Kel-Tec, for instance) but as far as I know, that is the only exception.

Please correct me if I'm wrong; it happens from time to time. :)

As have I. The ATF is not involved in INTRASTATE transfers between non-licensed individuals. State law prevails.
