concealed carry on Disney vacation

#1

Post by D.R.T. »

Hey...so we are planning a vacation to Disney world this summer. From what I have found it is legal for Florida CHL's to carry inside the theme parks. Does anyone have any experience with this or any idea of whether or not it is legal. TX says no amusement parks, but it is not restricted in FL...is my interpretation of the law correct?

is packing in the happiest place on earth ok? Thanks for any comments.

Nope. CCW is not allowed at disneyland.

They will wand and search you.

I went with my family last year and had a blast. I carried my Glock 21. Do not put your weapon in a bag because all bags are searched. That may include fanny packs and such. There is no law or policy by Disney, in Florida, to keep a CHL from carrying legally. California and Disneyland may be a different story.

By the way, I recommend you take a silicone cloth. The humidity makes me sweat and it helps protect the gun. Also, a non-leather holster is best. If you are from a humid place in Texas you know but if your like me it is a big change. Nothing seems to dry out completely. Have fun.

I recommend something small in a synthetic pocket holster inside a ziplock bag in your pocket. It's not going to win any fast-draw contest but it'll keep your gun/ammo dry.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

Yup.
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
