First Encounter with 30.06 at Taco Cabana
I took the family out to dinner tonight at Taco Cabana in Plano, Tx (Spring Creek Pkwy & Hwy 75) only to discover a 30.06 posted on the door. I had to do a double take while the family preceeded ahead of me. Sure enough, the sign appeared to be legit enough that I could not follow the wife and kids into the restaurant. I finally got their attention and motioned for them to come outside. I WILL make another trip (without the family) and talk to the manager about the posting. BTY, the Chinese food down the road was quite tasty.

Welcome to the forum.
This has been discussed here in a lengthy thread. Do a quick search for Taco Cabana and you might save yourself the trip to speak with the mgr.

Be sure to tell them that applications have increased 40% recently and they will be losing more business in the future.
It can happen here.

Re: First Encounter with 30.06 at Taco Cabana
I've seen several TC's in my area with 30.06 signs that are not legal. The letters are between 1/4 and 1/2 inch. It looks like they shrunk the sign down to fit the door dimensions. In a situation like yours, if the sign wasn't legal I wouldn't let it stop me from being with my family. Especially since you are their primary protector.
