I saw some cheap Monarch 9mm and I remember somebody mentioned it before. How does it compare with Blazer?

I've shot quite a bit of Monarch recently, in both 9mm and 40s&w. So far it's been flawless. The brass seems to be good quality and has held up well for my reloads.

Before Monarch came along I shot thousands of rounds of Blazer with only one or two bad rounds due to hard primers.

To sum it up, both are good buys in my opinion. The edge would go to Monarch due to it's slightly lower price and reloadable cases. The Blazer aluminum case are not reloadable.

When I first bought my Taurus, the Monarch would fail to eject fully. The Blazer ran through it just fine. I've put about 1000 rounds through it now. I may buy a box of Monarch again to see how it works.

Bad news guys, ammo prices just went up. At least at Academy, went in to purchase some 9mm blazers, shelf price $7.99 a box, register rang up $9.99. Of course they sold them to me for the $7.99 price but the guy in sporting goods came up to the register and said all ammo went up and he was surprised. I did see somewhere online, prices were going up 30% thats why I went today.

With Academy raising the CCI Blazer up to 9.99/box, I ordered some from Natchez Shooter's Supply at $7.49/box.

I bought 2 cases for 330.38, that comes to 8.25/box shipped.

I have plenty of carry ammo.

I think that with President Obama taking the oath next January, it's going to do nothing but go up.

Went by Dick's Sporting Goods on Inwood/Parkway in Dallas and they were selling green boxed Remington UMC 50 at $9.98 per box case price....
Used to buy the same at Bass Pro Shops promo-day at $5.14 a box and $4.97 at Walmart in Irving and Bedford...grabbed 10 cases that day at $4.97>>>

While searching the internet for info on an old gun I have I stumbled across a site that has some inexpensive .223 Silver Bear.

They have it listed at $105 plus $8 shipping for 500 rounds (22.6 cents per round). I do not know anything about this company nor have I spoken with them, and the contact info below was copied straight from their website.
