Yes, they are over exposed. I forgot to go into the menu and crank down the sensor before I took them. The D80 likes to over expose in bright light and I was on the patio in todays sun. Great weather though!dws1117 wrote:Nice camera. Beats my Pentax any day. Those photos show great detail and sharpness. Only thing I see is maybe a tad over exposed. I brought my camera to Diode's shop a couple of weeks ago and took pics of all the revolvers. They are ok but not near the quality of your's. Horrible lighting in the shop and the Pentax SLR's are one of the worst low light camera out there.

As promised, here is my new baby. She is the Springfield Armory Loaded Black Stainless http://springfield-armory.primediaoutdo ... tory12.php
Getting ready to head to the range with her. Named her 'Beauty' (as in Black Beauty)
A range report will follow!
EDIT: Just back from the range and she shoots better than I do. Dead on at 25 yards, braced in hand, and about a 3 inch group with 5 rounds. Not bad!!

Kieth,
That is a shweet looking 1911. How far below MSRP were you able to get it if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks Rokyudai. Actually, it was used. I was able to get a pretty good deal on it at about $250 less than street price locally and about $380 under MSRP.Rokyudai wrote:Kieth,

My new Kimber UC II with night sights, and my D.M. Bullard IWB holster and mag holders:
I love my Kimber. It is (besides my 5" S&W M29) the finest pistol I've ever owned. I just had the ambi-safety mounted this week.

Yes and a real beauty. I am glad to see others who name their guns. All of mine are named too.
Today I carry shorty for a work day at the church.
