I've got to get a stupid question out of the way...What is a WallyWalk?

Thanks.

The first time you carry with your newly minted CHL, you're supposed to go to Wal-Mart and do a bunch of stuff, including eating nachos.

And then you use your concealed handgun to put yourself out of your misery after eating those nachos. :biggrinjester:

I took my "Wally Walk" in a Target and a Market Street grocery store instead when I got my plastic, and I'm on Weight Watchers to boot; so the nachos are out of the question.

Do I still get to keep my CHL? :biggrinjester:

No, you have not passed a valid screening process. Target and Market Street customers are of a different caliber that Wal-Mart customers. Customers of those stores are not on the lookout for anyone potentially carrying concealed, as they do not carry firearms and/or firearm related gear. Wal-Mart folks can properly identify the make and model of what you are carrying and will probably want to compare carry weapons if you are outed. Also, Weight Watchers meals do not have a high enough fat content to sufficiently test your grip capability on a greasy pistol.

Until you have passed those tests appropriately, you are not a full-fledged warrior Grasshopper. :smilelol5:

My wife did the WW thing after the kiddo so I"m doing it with her. It was hard to get used to, but it really works! Besides, I could shed a few pounds myself! Annoyed, if you take your 2 tablespoon allotment of olive oil and rub it all over your hands, then we might be able to work around the Wally Walk nacho rule! Otherwise, you have to forefit your CHL and all of your guns must be distrubuted among us for safe keeping! ;-)

Done... Although I would have rather rubbed that olive oil all over a pork roast with some rosemary, garlic, and kosher salt before roasting to perfection.

That just doesn't sound right.

Heh, heh. Fortunately as it pertains to me, that particular conflict is a non-issue. No offense meant toward anybody else.

Thanks for the info., everyone.

FYI - I went to walmart today to pick up some ammo for my brand new Glock. Based on that experience, I learned that I have no business being in a building, full of knuckleheads, with a loaded weapon.

And that's why you go to Walmart for the Wally Walk! The degree of difficulty is just not the same at Target.

Well, if you didn't cap anyone in the self-checkout line, you passed. The temptation can be immense.

I don't do self checkout at any stores. If I wanted to work there, I'd fill out an application.
