WTS: Glock 23 FTF in DFW**SOLD**
I purchased this Glock 23 (.40 S&W caliber) new in Feb. 2007 and used it to qualify for my CHL renewal (with Linda and Marty in Roanoke). Comes with original box, papers, cleaning brush (unused). According to the envelope containing the spent cartridge case, this gun came out of the factory on 19 Dec. 2006 (serial #KPBXXX). It has been shot very little and carried very little. Near mint condition. My only reason for selling is I want to replace it with a G19 to go with my favorite G26. Comes with four factory 13-round magazines. $430, face-to-face on the (preferably) Fort Worth side of the metroplex. Thanks for looking...pwd

Hey there -- just a couple of questions. I have started the process of getting my CHL, so here goes: Is the G23 easy to conceal? How is the recoil? I have a G22 and as much as I love it, it's too big in my opinion to carry. I'm on the cowtown side also.

baseballguy2001,
The G23 is the compact version of the G22. Whether you would think it is too big to conceal would, I suppose depend on your preference and the way you intend to carry. Personally, I don't think the G23 is too big to conceal if you carry IWB/OWB with a vest or jacket. It is definitely too big to pocket carry.

I carry my G23 IWB without too much trouble. It's getting easier every day.

And I carry my G22 IWB with no trouble at all. (Of course, I also carry my Beretta M9 and SA XD45acp IWB without any trouble).KC5AV wrote:I carry my G23 IWB without too much trouble. It's getting easier every day.

Re: WTS: Glock 23 FTF in DFW
I alternately carry my 23 and its little brother 27 IWB and have found the 23, although slightly heavier, is not difficult to conceal. Use a good belt/holster combo. I like shooting the 23 more than the 27. It feels more balanced and the grip is more secure.
The 27 is a great pocket gun and if I'm wearing tighter fitting clothes, it completely disappears IWB even under tee shirts. I have a meso build so most of my shirts are loose in the waist area anyway. Never had a problem concealing the 23 either. I don't see how you could go wrong with a 23 Compact. Its a great gun.

Please PM me if you would be interested in selling the two extra mags separately. If you want the package to stay intact, I understand.

do you have any pics? My gun safe was recently stolen, so I'm in the market for more weapons. I have been wanting a G23.

No pics at the moment, but I might be able to take one (though I'm not sure how to embed a pic in a post here). There is slight holster wear on the sides of the front of the trigger guard. Otherwise, it is about as pristine as a barely used handgun can be (and I'm a stickler about scratches, blemishes, etc.).CodeJockey wrote:do you have any pics?
