Mission Accomplished

Post by pedalman »

After getting the plastic today, the wife unit had me take some donation items to the local Goodwill store. After dropping those off, I went across the street to Wally World. I figured I would see if they had any cleaning patches to buy. I parked way out in the parking lot. I hate driving around, looking for a closer spot. I'd rather hike in. :grumble

I entered with my trusty Glock 22 riding IWB at 4:00 in my CTAC Slide, under my shirt. I took the long way around the perimeter to Sporting Goods. As I passed the fishing rods, a blond teenager was examining a rod and lowered it across the aisle, blocking my way. I gave her a steely-eyed gaze, and she raised the rod in drawbridge fashion, clearing the way for me to pass.

Luck would have it that they had no cleaning patches. So I wandered over to the flashlight section, and selected a flashlight to purchase. I couldn't stay much longer, as I had to get back to take the family to dinner. McD,'s was way too crowded, but to make up for it, I chose the longest checkout line.

It took longer than I thought, but nobody freaked out or panicked. A young couple with a shopping cart was directly behind me, but it was no worries for me. The cashier was obviously a new troop, as her trainer was standing there with her. The guy ahead of me was quibbling over the price of a jug of juice. This ate up more time, but he finally went through. I stepped up, paid for my flashlight, and left.

All in all, no mishaps, no BGs, and nobody was the wiser.

Sounds good pedalman, I will (someday) be taking my WallyWalk on the same grounds as you did today. Isn't the Goodwill place great? BTW That WalMart hardly ever has any proper patches, only the ones made of cut up t-shirts.

I'm taking my wally walk tommorow, but only plan on getting ammo and some quick McDs. Walking around for the full 45 minutes is not for me :banghead:

Congratulations on your "short" WW.

My WW was not official either. I just could not bring myself to go to a Micky D's. However, I have made enough trips to the ammo counter for food for the pistolas that perhaps that may account for something. ;-)

I know you'll be going back to WM many times, so, my point of view is that you're legit. :thumbs2:

Well, after the WW foray, I took the family out to supper. The family did not know what was under my shirt, and neither did anybody else.
