Kimber Ultra Carry II IWB holster?
I've been looking at the Kimber Ultra Carry II as a CCW but want to make sure that I can find a IWB holster that's comfortable and practical. I guess my question is, for those of you that have this gun, what brand holster do you use? is it comfortable? and what's a price range?
Thanks
Thanks

Here are links to two real good ones that I'm very happy with for my Ultra Carry I (and I'm pretty fussy about my gear):I've been looking at the Kimber Ultra Carry II as a CCW but want to make sure that I can find a IWB holster that's comfortable and practical.

I carried both my UCII and my Ultra CDPII in a Tucker Gunleather "Texas Heritage" (http://rlcompanyusa.stores.yahoo.net/teheiwb.html). Worth the wait. D.M. Bullard also makes some fine holsters and may have something ready to go (http://www.dmbullardleather.com/). Sold the CDP along with the holster(s) - regret that decision somewhat.

Re: Kimber Ultra Carry II IWB holster?
I have two different holsters for mine:
• Galco Royal Guard
• D.M. Bullard IWB
The Bullard holster is made of nicer looking leather and is dressier. The Galco holster is stiffer, like a duty holster, and holds the weapon more securely (with my body type). The Bullard is a bit more more comfortable due to the softer leather. The Galco keeps its shape better and stays in place better. The Bullard costs about $55. The Galco costs about $120. Both were readily available from their respective manufacturers. The one I wear daily is the Galco.

My Ultra Carry is very happy in the Max Con V from http://www.coalcreekarmory.com/holsters_brommeland.html
It's a little pricey, but the difference between it and even my 'second' best choice out of my box of holsters is incredible. Considering they have them in stock and you can get top quality custom leather in less than a week is well worth the price.

I bought one from a Houston gun show for $20.

It's called WRB holster. Pretty good.

I have a Bladetech IWB all Kydex and a Comp-Tac MTAC hybrid. The MTAC is much more comfortable. I am going to look at Bullard's IWB tomorrow at teh Ft Worth gun show, although it will be for my new Glock 19.

Sidearmor http://www.sidearmor.com/ has some very well built kydex holsters as well. They make them for the Glock and the 1911, but they don't have a compact model for the Kimber ultra carry.I have a Bladetech IWB all Kydex and a Comp-Tac MTAC hybrid. Re: Kimber Ultra Carry II IWB holster?
I had a friend that let me try out his MIlt's Summer Special and VMII that are made for a full size 1911. But I have been using it for over a month with Ultra and works find with it also. So haven't made up my mine if I am going to get a full size VMII what I can use with my Ultra or 1991. But most likely I will be buying seprate holsters for both my 1991 and Ultra.

Re: Kimber Ultra Carry II IWB holster?
i use a don hume pcch inside the waistband. i find it comfortable and easy to put on and off because of the snaps. one complaint; when putting the gun in the holster you can accidentally push the safety to the off position against the leather. i know this and always check.
i've taken some courses in defensive pistol and have been advised to find an inside the waistband kydex holster for quicker response. i do like leather but am considering the comptac kydex or hybrid. i use a kydex belt holster in competition and it is much quicker to draw from.

The Kydex holsters typically are not as comfortable as the leather ones. Take look at Brigade Gun Leather also.
