need to update with this...

Collin County Gun Range has CLOSED.

http://www.ccgunrange.com/range.html

The Collin County Gun Range, formerly located at 2452 East University Drive (U.S. Highway 380) in McKinney, Texas has closed after a long zoning battle with the City of McKinney. We have ceased public range operations.
We appreciate your past patronage and interest in our range, but we are out of business as a public shooting facility.

list of dfw gun ranges I have: http://www.geocities.com/gibsonoutpost/

great idea! thanks for the work you have put into this!

Thanks for the update on Collin County. I added a note to the placemark indicating it has closed. I think as long as Google Earth shows the range I will leave it on the map for reference.

Is this file no longer maintained/available? I've used it for a good 4 years but after a recent reinstall of windows, lost the google map file and only find it's not available online any more. This map of TX ranges was the best tool. Please bring it back.

I have not updated the file in about 2 years and it was getting out of date. Last week when doing some computer housekeeping I decided I would rather not post outdated information so I removed the website. If anybody wants the Google Earth file I can email it to you. If anybody wants to take over and update the project and make it their own please feel free to do so.

Well, I could never get your link to work no matter where I put it.

However, I went to Google Earth and did a search for Texas Gun Ranges and hundreds eventually popped up. They aren't in any type of order but hundreds nonetheless.

Not me. :waiting:

I was wondering if you were able to pull up some historical ranges (closed) from the maps or know how I might find some. Thanks.
