I use a Andrews Leather, Mc Daniels II IWB. It is GREAT and very comfortable for me. I usually wear it about 4-4:30. I am 5'11" and about 175lbs. I didnt have to adjust my clothes much at all. Tho it is more comfortable with an extra inch in the waist band. For shirts it wear a cotton tank undershirt with either a loose t-shirt or a button up shirt for cover. The biggest change I had to make to my choice of clothes were the undershirts.
So in all reality (depending on your mode of carry) you really dont have to make any drastic changes to the clothes you ware.
Oh Yeah......
....did I mention that I can hide my 5" Kimber 1911 (with magwell) and double mag holder using the above attire? And I can do it with out worry while riding my Harley.
I can post pics if you wish to see.........

Here ya go
I was going to take a pic wearing a t-shirt but the camera died.
As long as your cover shirt is not tight, you can hide a cannon under it. It is NOT necessary to wear a parachute. I usually wear a size LG t-shirt but will also wear an XL sometimes.
You can also use the Under Armor type shirts. They do keep you cooler in this lovely TX heat.

I'm 6'1" and around 200 lbs and of course the ubiquitous dunlop. I wear a 36" waist which is not tight. When I carry inside the waistband, then these shorts that seem ample become incredibly tight. [/quote]
Two things contribute to this problem the most.....
First being the profile of your gun. Glocks, and many others, are thicker and need more room IWB. However, a 1911, and others, is nearly a 1/2 inch thinner therefore needing less room.
How thick or bulky is your holster. Is the majority of the bulk riding in the waistband, above the WB, or below the WB. Being the WB is usually the tightest place, it WILL make a difference. Notice that the reinforced mouth of my holster is riding above my WB. Where it rides in my WB the profile of the gun and holster is thinner therefore my WB is not as tight.
Kydex, or a Kydex leather combo, gives your more options. They are very thin.
Unfortunately you will have to try a few different holsters to find what works best. You can buy one, try it, and if you dont like it you always sell or trade it.
You MUST get a quality gun belt. You dont have to spend $150 on one either. A good gun belt will distribute the weight of the gun around your waist. Even a decent regular leather belt will sag on you (usually when it breaks-in) and pull on the opposite side of your waist therefore causing discomfort.
I hope this helps.
