i think most of the people receiving their plastic are march applicants and a few april. still puts the expected time at or around 90+ days. if the may applicants start getting theirs soon then we are in business folks!

Been reading here some.

First time post here.

My dates:

30-Mar-08 Took class
2-Apr-08 Mailed packet
11-Apr-08 Check cleared bank
12-May-08 Nothing. No response. No PIN. After 40 days I thought I would have at least a PIN by now.

16-Jun-08 Still nothing, not even a PIN. 75 days and nothing.

11-Jul-08 Got PIN. 100 days even. I think I'm not even going to bother to check on-line, I'd find it too frustrating.

Check to make sure it works. Then, check about every 2 weeks after that.

DONE!!! 130 days and finally thank the lord I'm done. Interesting story about the delivery, but that's another topic.

well here i am. Today 123. hope it will be soon .Still torure myself by checking online about 2 times a day. It is good to hear people around the same time line recieving theirs. Hope my day will come soon. I will post when my status on line changes. congraduations to all that have recieved. I hope to see you at Wally World oon.

I can't believe it... I have checked the DPS tracking site 50 times this morning to make sure that I am really seeing what I think I am seeing..."Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"!

I am soooooo excited and I just had to tell someone. Thank you all for putting up with me for these past several months. This forum has been a blessing, that's for sure.

How, yep...you got it, now I'm looking for the mail man!!

After 102 Days, Heather at DPS had it in her HOT little hands and actually dropped it in the mail this morning. C'MON USPS!!!!

Check website today...125 days later...status changed to

Application Completed - certificate issued

It's rather anticlimactic now, and I really won't believe it until the postal service delivers the plastic.

The term "government service" has once again earned its well deserved status as the epitomic oxymoron.

Did my Wally Walk.... Also went on a ride along with a friend who is a Lt. here on the Abilene Police Dept and got to carry! Other than that all went well, long wait though. It took me less time to get my FFL.
