Thanks to all who came and shot with us. The weather was a slight inconvenience and the wind was worse, but we all survived and had a good time.

Thanks to HV and Extremist for taking and posting/hosting the pictures and videos. I took some pictures also with a new camera and as soon as I can figure out how to get them out of the camera and into my computer, I will post them to put some faces with the names we have come to know.

Jim, I tried that first, but I think that my keyboard has some kind of barrier to prevent stray bits and pixels from getting into my computer. I am now setting the camera on top of the computer hoping that the little pixels can find their way onto the hard disk on their own.

Whoever told you to dump them on your keyboard got it wrong. Anybody who's been around a computer for any amount of tie knows that Keyboards can only accept character and number data, not arbitrary bits.

For these binary information, you are better off going straight to the harddisk. You'll have to open your compputer case (because otherwise it shields the HD from stray bits). Once you get that openned, simply put the camcorder very near the HD and let quantum mechanics do the rest.

I printed out this thread and asked some of the guys at work if you are all on the same track and passing on good information......Well, one guy looked at me and said, "Byte me"....
That being said, I think some of this advice MAY not be right.....

I just checked tythe keyboard on my new computer, and you're right, there is some kind of barrier in there. It's not like the old days, when you could pour in the bits and wash them down with a little Coke or coffee and see the results right on the screen.

When I serviced PC and terminals, the most suspicious thing to find was a clean keyboard - you just knew someone had spilled something on it and cleaned it off.
