Day of Shooting

#1

Post by Originalist »

Looking to coordinate a little gathering at the Bullet Hole shooting range in San Antonio. Nothing special, just some CHLers (and those waiting patiently) getting together to throw some lead down range, talk pistols and experiences with a possible late lunch/early dinner someplace relatively close by for more good conversation and hang out time. I have not ever in 5 years had the priviledge of hanging out with fellow CHLers, not 1 and am looking to broden my horizons......if you are interested let me know. I am shooting for sometime after week 1 of February (cause that is when I get back from over seas). Let me know if any one would be interested. Big or Small group doesn't matter to me. After I get a number of replies and the date gets a little closer I start pushing dates out and get a consensus of the best date and press from there. Happy Shooting......

Bryan

P.S. I will need the practice, I am deployed somewhere where I cant carry weapons (at all). Man I miss my XD 9 Sub compact......And my M9 and M4 for that matter.

IM IN. I too am looking for a somewhere to shoot. I am new to CHL and SA. This would be GREAT to get together with some fellow CHLers as I am brand spanking new to it and it would be good to talk guns experiences and get some advice. Just let me know the exact time and date. Looking forward to it.

Awesome, i m surprised (and excited) by the responses. Makes me even more anxious to get home (aside from wife and kiddos).
PBWalker . . . . . Any good places to sit and eat close by the range? Thanks.

There are quite a few places to eat at around there. Depending on what everyone wants we may have to drive a few miles but nothing crazy as far as distance.

Don't know why, but I find myself at Texas Roadhouse for some sweet tea and chicken fried steak after shooting at Bullethole. Of course there's always Chili's right down the road at Culebra and 1604.

Ok, I have a relief Report No Later Than Date so I think it is safe to revive this thread with a date of 21 February 2009 with a show time of, lets say 3pm (I am open for a different time if a majority prefer a specific time)

Again it will be an afternoon of shooting followed by a gathering/meal at a local restaurant (if there is an interest). I am excited, this will be my first outting with others w/ a CHL. Looking forward to it. Those who plan to attend, any first timers are more than welcome. I am going to try to bring the wifey (she's not new, but she's not experienced either). See everyone then!!!!!

Just remember one thing...

Wherever you all go to eat, that will probably be the safest place in the entire state of Texas...
