I have a the Dual Carry Holster and its ok.. but once I put the gun in it seems to be heavy and pull my shorts or pants down... I ordered another one to try SuperTuck Deluxe and will try it, but I think I will go with a SOB on the belt next if this one does not work out good. I am a big guy and it being concealed no big deal but me being comfortable well that is a issue. Thanks D

Suspenders. They are worth it and are just as valuable as a quality gun belt to keep your pants up.dwhitley wrote:I have one.. austin-tatious wrote:+1 on having a quality holster. I'm slender (5' 10" and 160 lb). The Crossbreed Super Tuck is very comfy at 4 o'clock with my XDsc 40 S&W. But it doesn't conceal or ride so well when I wear dressy slacks...unless I'm wearing a coat in which case I can wear the Super Tuck IWB without tucking. With the dressy slacks, the IWB clips are too obvious IMO, and I can't wear the good belt (belt loops are too small). For those occasions I use a SmartCarry. Not as comfy as the Crossbreed, but super concealment and almost as easy to draw with as the IWB. When wearing a dress shirt (but no coat) I sometimes wear what can best be called a chest band (like a belly band but goes around your chest over an undershirt and under the dress shirt) that puts the gun in a cross-draw position right under my left armpit. Not as quick a draw, but comfortable for up to 6 hours at a time, and virtually invisible (even with my 40" chest).
I don't know how well this would work for me 7 days a week because my employer has a no weapons policy . But I do carry very comfortably with these combinations on weekends, holidays.
Quick question...
Does your Supertuck wear on the finish of your slide?
I got one and I'm concerned because I keep seeing all these high stress areas where the kydex rubs on the slide of my xd-9 sc.
thanks!

I have not got mine yet should be here Monday... I was a bit concerned on that too... I would rather have leather, but they are harder to re-holster...
Thanks David

Re: Is there a comfortable way to carry?
Not if you have a good one. I have the Crossbreed Super Tuck and because of the same concerns that you have was exactly why I went back to my Milt Sparks Summer Special. It is all leather and is very easy to carry in and you can draw and reholster without any problems it is just not tuckable and you have to adjust your wardrobe as needed.dwhitley wrote:I have not got mine yet should be here Monday... Back to the Super Tuck I don't know if it will mar the finish on your pistol or not, but it just bother me to the point that I went back to all leather. I know many people use them and are very satisfied with them, so I am not knocking the holster.

Re: Is there a comfortable way to carry?
Ok.. got the Crossbreed Super Tuck and I like it.... I am worried about it messing up the gun... but I like the way it fits, very comfortable.. But I also do need to get a better belt... I will let you all know how that goes this weekend... I can only carry when I work at the computer store I own... I usually go there in the evenings and on the weekends... I will try out with a new belt and see how it goes... Thanks for all your input... D
Thanks David

Re: Is there a comfortable way to carry?
Sounds good!
Keep us posted...
I am a little concerned about the finish of my slide... XD-9 SC...
I am at the two week trial... so I have to decide whether I want to keep the holster.
It is very comfortable; specially for my XD-M which is kinda on the big heavy side compared to his little sister the xd-9 sc.
I dont know...
just thinking out loud here...

Re: Is there a comfortable way to carry?
It looks like my Milt Sparks Summer Special. I wasn't cheep either, but I sure does work like it is supposed to. Easy to carry, draw and re holster, all with one hand! I think you are going to really like your new holster. All you need now is a Galco 1.5 Sport Belt...you will be surprised at the difference.dwhitley wrote:I got the Galco Rg226 holster.... wow now this is nice... its tough leather and its comfortable... even with my old belt it holds really nice... Re: Is there a comfortable way to carry?
Yes Sir... I am ordering it in the morning.. I went out today looking for a good belt but none really were good, so I am ordering it. Thanks for the input... yea the holster was over $100 but well worth it... I have spent around $300 on holsters so far... but this one hit it on the head I am a happy camper now....
Thanks David

Re: Is there a comfortable way to carry?
That's great, David, sometimes it takes a while to find what will work for you. I guess we all have a draw full of holsters. I had to learn the hard way and when I finally broke down and bought a quality holster and belt, it was all the difference in the world. I really like my Galco Sportsman 1.5 belt. It really did make a difference in comfort.
Good luck, my friend, I hope you find just what you are needing.

My 2 cents....appropriate weapon for your body type, and an awesome holster that may cost a pretty penny...I've found that for walking around a lot 2 o'clock is great...seated=4:30...good luck
