ALERT: Wells Fargo posting 30.06?

#1

Post by Doug.38PR »

I am not a Wells Fargo customer on a regular basis. I have no accounts there. However my parents do. Today I walked in with my mother to get a money order from them while she conducted her own business. We were at the building over just off of I-10 and Dairy Ashford between Cornelius garden and flower shop and Tully Stadium on Dairy Ashford. I walked up to the door and I saw a 30.06 posting. After making a few negative comments about the posting to myself and my mother I turned around and put my Detective Special in the glove box. There were other offices in the building, but the teller who helped me said that Wells Fargo owned the building and rented it out to other businesses.
Ironically, the whole reason for my going in there was to get a money order to the DPS for $70 to renew my CHL.

I hope not! I have been banking with Wells fargo for about 10 years now. I have a house loan, and two vehicle loans through them. If the 30.06 signs go up, they lose me as a customer.

Go to post office for your money order next time, a lot cheaper. I got one at Wells Fargo, had a checking account for years, figured a money order would be reasonable since I was a customer. Wrong, I think they charged me $4.50 and at the post office it would have been around $1.50.

Isn't Wells Fargo one of the beneficiaries of "the bailout"? :mad5

Darn - The last time I was in my Wells Fargo they were not posted. I'll have to run by there and see if they are now. If they are I am pulling my pesos out.

On a side note, the last time I renewed I did it online - don't have to worry about money order or cashiers check, but if I did not renew on line I would have just sent them a plain old check written on my checking account.

I hope this is isolated due to leasing of that particular building.I have really enjoyed having Wells Fargo as my bank.
If this is company policy I will be finding another bank.

Had the same experience, never again.
USPS MO is the way to go.

As for 30.06, I'll check the one we use on the way home.
Wife has been wanting to move all our accounts to WF.
30.06 would be a deal-killer.

I started to go to the post office behind Taste of Texas...but, like most urban post offices  , it had a mile long line and slow postal workers.

I'll see about posting this on texas3006

I certainly hope this isn't the case. I have all my personal and business accounts at WF, and as much as I can't stand them nickel and diming me to death, it's going to be a pain in the pattootie to move.

I absolutely detested Wells Fargo in CA.

When I moved to TX, the first thing I did was open an account with First National Bank of Bay City. Months later, Wells Fargo bought the bank.

They continue to rob me to this day, and I let them.
