I went to the Ft. Worth gun show. Got there about 45 min after it opened, closest parking about a half mile away. Got to the door and there were about 100 people waiting to get in. Shoulder to shoulder inside, could barely move. It took a long time to get a seller's attention because of so many people with questions etc. I only bought an ammo can, a holster and a spare mag for my new Bersa. TOO crowded! They did have every gun under the sun, and I think every Manufacturer was represented.

I bought two new handguns the day before at my local shop and I paid less than they cost at the gun show. I really think the cheapest way for us to buy guns is local, even though here in TAXES, we have the ridiculous 8 plus % sales tax. If I buy a $ 500. gun online, they charge me $20 to ship it, and the local FFL guy charges $20 to process it. That's $540. If I buy a 500 gun locally, I pay $41.25 in taxes for a total of $541.25 and iI get the gun now instead of waiting for it to be shipped.

I thought the same thing about the Austin show. In my opinion - it was weak. Had to wait 20 minutes to get in the door at 9:00. Not much to see...

I got there about 10:00, went right in. I think A lo of people were in the "gun lock" line and did not know it, the other line was short.
As crowded as I've seen it.
I expected to see price gouging, but for most items there wasn't much evidence of that. The usual vendors were way too high, but the handgun prices looked about like last time. Some were lower. I was shopping for a Tomcat for the wife, and there was one for $299.95. I don't know why I did not buy it.
I did buy an M4 buttstock for less than online prices.
It was definitely should-to-shoulder most of the time, but everyone was polite ("An armed society...").
As I left the crowded show, I noticed the line to get in was about 100 feet long and doubled back on itself.

I went down to Austin with my crew, everything we had seen there was way overpriced. We left and went to Twin Peaks for lunch, Oogle it and it will give you directions. Then we went to Buda to Cabela's and I picked up a nice little safe for my XD. I am now looking for a Kimber, held one at the show and fell in love.

Went to the Houston show on Saturday. Scored me a Bersa 380 CC and at a good price. Lines for buying guns at the larger vendors were crazy, a friend waited 3 hours to get his gun. I bought mine from one of the smaller vendors and waited all of 10 minutes! The assault weapons were way overpriced and ammo was scarce, all in all thought it was a good show but maybe that was just because I got what I wanted :patriot:

Couldn't find a holster I wanted at the show so on Sunday ordered a Comp-Tac Minotaur for the Bersa with a spare body for my XD-9. Comp-Tac are awesome, holster delivered on Wednesday and I love it! Only problem now is deciding what to carry!! "rlol"
