I thought the approved method for getting them out of the trap, was after each of them had a .22 between the eyes and was no longer arguing about it.flintknapper wrote:...KBCraig wrote:Got a walk-in trap?
Getting them out is the fun part.
Is there just no end to them?

Wowza!
If I'm out your way, I'll certainly let you know so I can help you with some population control. That is, if it's OK with you.
I might be towards that way for a weekend soon. I'll PM you once I get the specifics.

Actually, it is not O.K. (not trying to be rude), its just that these hogs are on my Father in Law's property...and he does not allow any guests to hunt it (family only... for reasons of liability).
Good luck with the pest control!

There comes a point (and I think you're already there, based on these pics!), that you have to treat them like rats: to heck with the meat, just shoot and dump. If you like to hunt coyotes too, consider it a bonus.flintknapper wrote:You can do it that way too, but you ruin your trap for several weeks after that.KBCraig wrote:I thought the approved method for getting them out of the trap, was after each of them had a .22 between the eyes and was no longer arguing about it.
Not only that....but you set yourself up for a lot 'O hog skinning. I'm good for 3-4...but field dressing and skinning 15-20 at time is a bit much (even with help).

Ever thought about not feeding them?
They are a big problem! WE have a problem with them on our place outside of Alto. You shoot one and two takes its place!
