Yep, East Texas is known for its good looking ladies! That's why I married one of them!

I've a few hogs on my property.

I head shot a 70/80 lb. sow last year from my back porch with a .17 cal HMR 20 grain fmj. She dropped like a stone. Great eating.

Later, I had a 250 lb. or so boar in my front yard who wouldn't leave. I came out of the house vigorously clapping my hands, whistling and shouting. All he did was grunt, once and kept on eating whatever his came across. After he started munching on the landscape installed flowers (my wife's pride and joy) I had to dispatch him. Same shot. Same rifle. One shot. Down and out.

We didn't harvest him as there appeared to be something very wrong about his behavior and his hair was very patchy... He couldn't be persuaded to leave my yard no matter what I did prior to shooting him and had just spent the night in a neighbor's back yard. He couldn't be persuaded to leave his yard either. I found out this bit of info later.

Hey Flint,

I've got a question for you. Say you see a sow that has 12 piglets, that are maybe three weeks old, would you go ahead and harvest the sow? To me it would seem a bit morbid, but isn't it the objective to reduce the population?

[quote="flintknapper"]Here we go again!

The Sows seem to “spit them out” faster than I can kill them.

I gave my daughter a call, She is on her way out here this weekend, She is pure death on hogs!

Man, it looks like you're running a hog farm out there as many as are in these pictures! :iagree:
